At the beginning of the last century,
he more important transport of passengers and merchandises were the marine one.
Guayaquil from that time already prevailed like one of the most important ports
of America, receiving products destined for all cities of the country.
The arrival of a ship was everything an event, in a city smoothly caressed
by waters of the Guayas River, romantically dressed in the noble wood used in
the construction of its houses, embellished its vegetation that maintained to
its inhabitants enamored with the landscape of a port of years 1900.
History began with the port bell that announced the proximity of a ship.
From 1910 after repique of this, Mr. Francisco Recalde Rites, prepared itself
to weigh anchor in a barge with an agent of immigration and a pair of sailor, to
Isla Puná; place where they let go the aft mooring lines steam.
The work of Mr. Recalde began with the Manifiesto sheet, with this document
returned to Guayaquil and from his office wrote up the information, using seattlins
down the foundations of a great company.
Thus our history almost 100 years ago. From that mystic and romantic time to our
dynamic days, Manifiestos continue operating with the best thing of each century;
with the responsability, moral and ethics of 1900's and with the technological
efficiency and quality of the 2000's.
